Gyeongju, the capital of the ancient kingdom of Silla (57 BC – 935 AD) which ruled most of the Korean Peninsula between the 7th and 9th centuries, is often referred to as "the museum without walls." If you're looking for cultural heritage in Korea, it's a great place to visit. We did like many and saw it all on rented bicycles.

Hope you have a chance to go to Busan, see some islands and travel all over! the DMZ is pretty cool too but I don't know if they let people go there anymore... Hope you like spicy food because Korean's like and eat a lot of it! Do you like Kimchee?! How long are you there for?

Awesome photos! I can't help but be jealous of your experience. I work with several kids from South Korea here at ISU. A gentleman I worked with today, Il Kyu Park, said he has only been speaking English for 7 months. All I could think was that I took four years of Spanish in high school and there is no way I could attend university in Mexico or Spain. I am not sure if it takes a lot of courage or just a strong will to make a move like that. You tell me!!
